In 1991 Dublin was voted “ European City of Culture”. It offers a unique blend of history alongside the most contemporary and cosmopolitan society living in Europe . Dublin has recently undergone great changes as a result of international economic investment. The city is vibrant with energy and attractions are rich and varied, ranging from ancient Celtic manuscripts to modern Internet Cafes. There is something for everyone in Dublin.
It is situated on the east coast with an international airport and extensive sea ferry services. The climate is temperate with no excesses of heat or cold. The city has an increasingly international population but nevertheless retains a true Irish flavour

Former international students have recommended that students arriving to Ireland for the first time should note:
Expect to pay approximatley €300 on household goods on arrival. These goods will furnish living accommodation.
Most international students hold a part time job when studying in Ireland. Income earned is used to fund living expenses.
